PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Rigenur™ is specifically formulated to provide comprehensive management of urinary discomfort, with particular attention to subjects susceptible to recurrent episodes and who need to increase their dietary intake of these essential structural components of human tissues.
Il D-Mannose is a simple sugar of natural origin that is not metabolised by the human body and is poorly absorbed by cells; it accumulates as such in the urine where it exerts its beneficial action.
D-Mannose prevents uropathogenic bacteria from adhering to the urethral and bladder epithelium and facilitates their elimination through the urine.
Lactoferrin is a glycoprotein found in mammalian milk and other body fluids. Due to its ability to bind iron, lactoferrin removes this trace element from pathogens, reducing their survival. It also plays an important role in intestinal eubiosis, counteracting the proliferation of pathogens and promoting the growth of Bifids and Lactobacilli.
Hyaluronic Acid and Collagen are naturally occurring substances in the urothelium and underlying connective tissue, where they contribute to the structure and physiological function of these tissues, including the urothelium’s impermeability and function as its first defensive barrier.

What are urinary tract infections?
Urinary tract infections, or UTIs, are a very common disorder, especially in women.
Just think that they are second only to respiratory tract infections, such as colds or flu!
Why are they so common?
- This means that bacteria have less “road” to take to reach the bladder and cause infection. In addition, female hormones play an important role in maintaining the balance of ‘good’ bacteria in intimate areas. When this balance is disturbed, the risk of infection increases.
- Another reason why UTIs are often underestimated is that they cannot always be seen with the naked eye. To make an accurate diagnosis, the doctor has to analyse a urine sample (urinoculture).
Therefore, even if typical symptoms are present such as difficulty urinating, which manifests itself as pain and burning during urination, frequent and urgent urge to urinate, but with only small amounts of urine leaking out, it is important to do all the necessary tests.
Almost half of the female population has suffered from it at least once in their lifetime, and many women, especially between the ages of 18 and 24, suffer from it more than once. Unfortunately, women who have already had an infection are more likely to be affected by another one in the following months.
UTIs can have a significant impact on women’s quality of life, limiting daily activities and causing discomfort.
An international study, GESPRIT (Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Russia, Italy), showed that women with recurrent cystitis spend much more on treatment and have a lower quality of life than those without this problem.
UTIs can be acute or chronic, and this distinction is crucial to better plan treatment and reduce the use of antibiotics, which should only be used when strictly necessary.
Scientific studies:
The efficacy of Rigenur has been demonstrated by in vitro tests on cell cultures of E. coli and P. aeruginosa, two of the main uropathogens responsible for the onset of troublesome symptoms and especially difficult to combat as they are responsible for the formation of pathogenic biofilms.
The biofilm produced by bacteria reduces the effectiveness of therapeutic treatments, the immune system’s ability to respond, and consequently can favour the occurrence of relapses and the chronification of infections.
RIGENUR proved successful in reducing the microbial load of the two uropathogens tested, reducing the presence of newly formed biofilm and eradicating the biofilm already present.
The tests were conducted at the laboratories of BICT SRL – BIOLOGICAL AND CHEMICAL TECHNOLOGIES.
RIGENUR is a cutting-edge nutraceutical formulation backed by solid scientific evidence.
RIGENUR is the ideal solution for those who want a complete approach thanks to the presence of 4 active ingredients, D-mannose, Lactoferrin, Hyaluronic Acid and Collagen that synergistically cooperate to restore intimate comfort.
D-Mannose is a simple sugar of natural origin that is not metabolised by the human body and is poorly absorbed by cells; it therefore accumulates as such in the urine where it exerts its beneficial action.
Hyaluronic Acid and Collagen are substances naturally present at the level of the urothelium and underlying connective tissue, where they contribute to the structure and physiological functionality of these tissues, including the impermeability and function as the urothelium’s first defensive barrier.
Useful tips
As with any clinical situation, prevention through behavioural norms is always essential, even in the case of urinary tract infections, small practical tips to follow can help reduce the incidence of recurrences:
- drink at least 1.5-2 litres of water every day to promote diuresis and facilitate the expulsion of pathogens;
- adopting a healthy, balanced diet and maintaining a healthy weight;
It would be best to avoid sugary or carbonated drinks, alcohol, coffee, ‘junk food’ (sweet or salty snacks), precooked foods, fried foods, smoked foods, sausages, spices and spicy foods. Prefer fresh foods whenever possible, seasonal vegetables and fruit, whole grains, fermented milk and yoghurt.
- not smoking;
- exercise regularly and avoid sedentariness;
- do not retain urine for too long so as not to inflame the bladder; in particular, always urinate before going to bed and before and after sexual intercourse;
- use underwear made of natural fibres, such as cotton, not coloured, not too tight;
- maintain regular bowel activity, if necessary using milk enzymes or probiotics to counter constipation, which promotes contamination of the urinary tract by faecal bacteria;
- adopt proper intimate hygiene with a mild detergent, which could alter the vaginal flora and increase the risk of infections, especially during the cycle, before and after sexual intercourse.
